Youth Hub
Welcome, you belong here. Transitioning out of foster care can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to figure it out on your own. Building Resilience Together is a place where you are supported, respected, and heard. Whether you need help with housing, school, a job, or just someone to talk to, we’re here to walk alongside you. You deserve stability, opportunity, and a community that believes in your future and we’re here to help you build it.
How we support our youth
Building Resilience Together (BRT) supports youth transitioning out of foster care by providing consistent, trauma-informed services that promote stability and independence. This includes case management, connections to housing, education, and employment resources, life-skills workshops, and access to basic needs such as food, hygiene, and emergency assistance. BRT creates a supportive environment where youth can build confidence, develop essential skills, and receive the guidance needed to successfully navigate adulthood.

Building Resilience Together’s Resource Center is a safe and supportive space designed for youth transitioning out of foster care. The center provides access to essential resources, including life skills workshops, educational support, basic needs assistance, and community-building opportunities. Its purpose is to empower young people with the tools, guidance, and connections needed to build stability, independence, and long-term success.
Life skills workshops are designed to support youth—especially those transitioning into independence—by teaching practical skills needed for everyday life. These workshops cover topics like budgeting, housing, employment, communication, and self-advocacy. They benefit participants by building confidence, increasing independence, and providing real-world tools that help youth navigate school, work, and adulthood more successfully.
BRT Community Table events are designed to create a safe, welcoming space where current and former foster youth can come together, connect, and build meaningful relationships. These gatherings focus on fostering a sense of belonging and community through shared experiences, activities, and conversation. They benefit youth by reducing isolation, strengthening peer support networks, and providing a consistent space where they feel seen, valued, and supported. They are held on the first Thursday of the month.
Building Resilience Together (BRT) supports youth in obtaining essential vital documents needed to access housing, employment, education, healthcare, and other important services. This includes assistance with securing items such as birth certificates, Social Security cards, Ward of Court letters, state identification cards, and other critical records. Our team provides guidance throughout the process, helps youth navigate systems and requirements, and works to reduce barriers that may delay their progress toward stability and independence.
Building Resilience Together (BRT) supports youth by helping meet immediate basic needs that are essential to their health, stability, and overall well-being. Our team assists youth in connecting to county and community benefits, and when resources are available, we may also provide grocery gift cards, basic hygiene items, and transportation assistance. By addressing these immediate needs, BRT helps reduce barriers and supports youth as they work toward greater stability, independence, and long-term success.

WHAT OUR YOUTH SAY...
Daniel, Youth
"I never thought I would need the services, but my housing expired, my car broke down, and I found myself with not many options. BRT literally has been my life saver during these times and I can only say a heart felt Thank you to a priceless service they have provided for me."
Veronica, Youth
"Thank you BRT for providing me with emotional and physical support. Their presence made me feel safe while I was tranisioning out of a foster home. BRT helped me move my belongings and assisted with the process of obtaining new housing, filling out paperwork, and transportation, and continued to care as I get settled into a new place. I don't know where i'd be if that support wasn't available."
